  5. *W  The XUpdater HyperCard stack allows you to easily update Software Perspectives XCMDs 
  6. Yand/or XFCNs.  This system uses 
  7. Update Modules
  8.  to update a particular external.  These 
  9. [update Modules are posted to online services so that non-registered users can benefit from 
  10. the features of the upgrades.

  13. ZXUpdater is provided without charge to Software Perspectives customers and online service 
  14. users.  It is

  16. Updating an XCMD/XFCN
  17. ^To update an old version of a Software Perspectives XCMD/XFCN, you will first need to acquire 
  18. 1the update module from your local online service.
  19. TThe update module has an icon which looks like a document with the same look as the 
  20. VXUpdater program itself.  It contains the resources which are required to update your 
  21. XCMD or XFCN.
  22. *YStart by launching the XUpdater application.   After the program loads, you will see two 
  23. @buttons labelled 
  24. Select Old Version
  25.  and 
  26. Update
  27.  respectively.
  28. _The first step is to click the 
  29. Select Old Version
  30.  button and choose the stack which contains 
  31. $the old version of the XCMD or XFCN.
  32. YNext, click the 
  33. Update
  34.  button.  The software will now ask you to locate and select the 
  35. Update Module.
  36. [Once you have opened the update module, the update process begins immediately.  When it is 
  37. (completed, the software will inform you.
